Description

We are a small firm located in Rancho Palos Verdes with over 40 years of strong, lasting relationships with growing clientele seeking an experienced tax preparer preferably with a CPA license who shares a commitment to excellence and ethics. We offer a pleasant and friendly work environment. The position is a seasonal position with a significant time commitment during tax season and part-time hours during off peak season. Our services include tax preparation, sales tax, bookkeeping, preparation of compiled financial statements, with the focus on individual tax preparation.

Job Description:

• Preparation of individual, partnership, corporation and trust tax returns with a concentration in individual taxation
• The ability to meet with clients (either in person or via Zoom) to conduct the tax interview and prepare the tax returns to completion while meeting with clients
• Provide basic tax planning ideas to clients
• Correspond with clients and tax authorities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in the work product
• A strong work ethic, able to work independently and manage multiple clients, a self-starter that will take responsibility for work performed and follow through on multiple projects
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate professionally with both clients and co-workers

Requirements

BA/BS Degree

CPA license preferred with 10+ year of experience in public accounting

Significant supervisory/review experience

Proficient in Lacerte tax software, Excel and Word

Job Type: Part-time with a full-time commitment during tax season

Pay: $40.00 per hour plus performance-based bonus
