Esters Wine Shop & Bar is a critically-acclaimed wine shop and restaurant in Santa Monica, part of the RC Family of Restaurants.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking hosts - part-time or full-time. Compensation is $18 / hour + tips. We offer fully-covered health insurance to our full-time team members and employee discounts at all our restaurants, and family meals during working hours.
Shifts available: Weekends, Mon, Tues, Weds,

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to repetitively move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
- Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, squat, crouch and climb.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Greeting all guests warmly & checking for proof of vaccinations as needed
- Communicate with staff to proactively set / reset tables, of VIPs, tight turns etc.
- Be familiar with Resy - for reservation apps.
- Be familiar with Restaurants Info and Offerings
- Answering phone calls, relaying messages, booking and confirming reservations.
- Adding to and assisting in maintaining guests’ notes
- Maximize possible covers while booking the restaurant appropriately.
- Maintain ongoing communication with management team and chef; alert them of possible waits, guest issues, high profile guests, etc.
- Coordinating and maintaining a “wait list” if needed, keeping regular communication with guests who have been waiting.
- Maintaining host stand and front door cleanliness and supplies.
- Acting as an overall hub for guests' questions (private dining info, valet, hours of operation, info on other RCRG
- Fill in when needed to ensure guest service standards.
