California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking physicians currently employed with the state of California who are interested in additional appointments to provide telemedicine after hours coverage in a part-time capacity. For maximum allowable hours and location availability, please contact your CHU analyst.
These uncommon positions are available to all physician and surgeons currently employed by the State of California. The only stipulation is that the additional appointment cannot service the institution where you are currently assigned to work, and you cannot be a supervisor, manager, or executive.
These uncommon positions are available to all physicians currently employed by the State of California, and you need to not currently work in the telemedicine to take advantage of this opportunity. While your additional appointment may service the institution where you are currently assigned to work, you may not perform the same duties as a full time appointment, e.g. not in the same yard or unit. These appointments are not available to supervisors, managers, or executives.

  • Time worked is not considered overtime.
  • Time worked will be outside your normal hours.
  • The dates and hours of work will be determined by the hiring location.
