Delivery Driver (Bakery Helper)

By living our values of Dignity, Excellence and Telling it like it is in a way that can be heard, the Driver - Bakery Helper position is responsible for delivering bakery products and supplies between our Production, Retail bakery and restaurants, as well as delivering wedding cakes and/or other bakery items to our guests and picking up supplies from vendors.

Job Requirements:

• Manually loads, unloads, and delivers baked goods and supplies to local guests and company locations.
• Ensures deliveries to guests are made in a timely and efficient manner.
• Picks up and delivers all items required from operations or maintenance personnel and vendors.
• Follows procedures for proper food handling and temperature control of products.
• Ensures proper handling and distribution of shipping documents.
• Verifies product counts while loading and unloading.
• Performs daily inspection on truck and trailer.
• Maintains commercial vehicles in a clean, safe, and operable manner.
• Cleans cabinets, truck, and any equipment used during the delivery process.
• Always adheres to safe driving practices and posted speed limits.
• Works in other areas of bakery production/sales during delivery downtimes and as needed.

Skills/Experience:

• Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate.
• Minimum of 1-year experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Experience in food/baked goods delivery preferred.
• Basic math and common-sense reasoning ability.
• Self-motivated with the ability to see what is needed to be done with little direction.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to arrive to work on-time for all assigned shifts including mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required. Must work early morning shift and have Saturday and Sunday availability.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
